I feel the same way. Thanks for making public your personal stand. Last year, I had some abnormalities in my "usual" schedule and in the volume, etc., so I found a local naturalistic Dr who has been doing (gentle, gravity-fed water) colonics for 30+ years with whom I worked for @ 8 sessions, spaced a few days apart. It is ASTOUNDING what she was able to "cleanse" from my body -- I'm Vegetarian, Caffeine- & Refined sugar-free, as well as refraining from known preservatives since 1990. Vegan since 2003. Gluten-free since @2012. Fruits, vegetables, (non-wheat/gluten prominent) grains, beans, rice, etc., are a PERFECTLY WONDERFUL set of choices from which to derive a healthful and enjoyable diet (and I was a die-hard meat and potatoes man in my younger days, having been given antibiotics for @ 10 years during my puberty/teen period). I have exercised, walked (at least a mile, more when time permits) daily, and use (selectively, in modest amounts) herbal tinctures and a few natural vitamins (for example acerola/rose hips for my "C", d-alpha tocopherol for my "E", beta carotene for my "A", etc.). I actively take liver cleansing supplements (tincture form) and drink 2 8 ounce glasses of water every hour (between meals, no water with them) during waking hours (I supplement natural sodium & mineral mixture for electrolyte maintenance / interstitial fluid maintenance). ALL OF THAT TO SAY, there are always external (or internal) sources that can upset even a disciplined, habitual, ritualized, long-term set of healthful habits, and the solution should always be natural as well! Subjecting one's self to allopathic medicine -- Rockefeller lies ("disease management") that displaced & discredited natural healing 130+ years ago -- is going to the wrong cistern for refreshment and healing. I have met people who have almost died from the perforation outcome you referenced in conjunction with the colonoscopy procedure....they say it was at the very least, harrowing (I live in a quasi-retirement community and am approaching 70 myself). If one must do that, do the stool sample test first, or the virtual colonoscopy if deemed essential (they will seldom offer them). I would avoid them altogether, but if you're determined... If confirmed, seek natural healing, not surgery. Health, not those who do not diagnoses causes, but only treat symptoms.

I’m not planning on getting one either. My parents were pretty irritated with me recently when I made that comment.

My diet is not as clean as yours but we do eat cleaner than 90% if people we know although we do eat meat.

My current plan includes fasting 3-5 days 4 times a year. I’ve been adjusting my fasting regimen for 20 years. Hope that’s a good detox.

If no mucous plaque was visible during a colonoscopy then we don’t have it, correct?
