Regarding supplements for breast cancer, I’d be super curious to hear your thoughts on the so-called “pure” melatonin powder from PureBulk, Tudca & Serrapeptase from Double Wood, and about using Ivrmctn & Fenben. Also, for those people doing daily coffee enemas, what about when it’s sometimes necessary to “supplement” with extra magnesium in order to replenish electrolytes?

I welcome any and all advice you may wish to share! Thank you!!!

Everything has chemicals and toxins. You can't avoid them. You trade one for another or may get one that has less chemicals. Do any of you want to spend your life chasing something you can't catch? The older you get the less your liver can detox. The body starts to break down. Meds and supps just help you but some time or relieve some symptoms at best. We can't just eat, sleep, and go on with our lives anymore. We have become compulsive and fearful.

What's odd is that pharma is on record saying that they have to get a handle on the supp industry so why would they say that and ban things and to usurp if they were part of it?

I've been told by many Naturopathic doctors to take ox bile due to not having a gallbladder. I would love to hear your thoughts on this!

Oh, glad I came across this one! I'm publishing a long essay on the same topic (mine focusses more on prenatal vitamins) this Sunday and am linking to this. I've been in this rabbit hole since finding out I was pregnant in February and opting not to take prenatal vitamins.

I’d love to see a transcript of a sit down between you and Amanda vollmer - you both would have a robust discussion on this topic.

Yes! I agree. Amandha is very pro supplement (esp Vit D) and gets very angry when people disagree with her.

Is there a clean and effective thyroid supplement out there??? In the past I've tried prescription Naturthroid, Armour, Levo, and compounded for Hashi's. The first two became unavailable, so I effectively switched to a non-prescription supplement called Thyro8, which rebranded to Balance+ by Harmonia Wellness. However, it went off the market, as well. (Dang! I did better on this than prescriptions.) I recently tried ThyrAid supplement, but had more inflammation on it. I am currently taking a gummie supplement from Fling called Thyroid Power, but it has too much sugar in it! I won't take any response as medical advice.

Robyn, you’re right: I’m ANGRY, but only because I totally believe you.

I started talking supplements because I learned foods were devoid of nutrients.

So the answer..

we all need to become regenerative farmers?

Which reminds me: where do the nutrients come from in your hydroponic towers?

Ask the best wishes!

A patient sent this to me. I was involved in Functional Medicine before it was cool. For most FM docs, they just exchanged the word "Alternative" to "Functional". It's like putting lipstick on a pig. Don't even get me started on FM "certification". They more like a diagnosis du jour course put on by influencers.

It's funny you mention Standard Process. Chiro colleges received a large $$$,$$$,$$$ if they only promote SP products. It is hilarious that SP promotes their glandular products. These glandular products are miracle products. How can a gland from a dead (organic, grass fed, free range) cow or pig transmogrify into living human replacement to replace glands in the human body is miraculous.

FM docs jump from lab company to lab company, i.e. adrenal and hormone testing, claiming the test are erroneous. The labs are CLIA certified. It's NOT the lab company or the results. It is the FM analysis. This results in the FM jumping from supplement company to supplement company for all the reasons stated above. Botton line is - If the diagnosis is in error - the treatment is in error.

“Medicine has suffered from "fads" from time immemorial."

"The authority of some great leader or teacher is enough to bolster up an error for a generation or more. In fact, much that is today taught is merely the dictum of some one who has never taken the pains to investigate the truth.”

And unfortunately, the diagnosis is coming from the practitioner who profits on your illness doesn’t matter if there claiming they’re on the good side or the alternative it’s the same symptom pill vitamins and supplements aren’t benign substances or toxic chemicals that create more profits for the practitioners down the road as you progressively get more and more ill needing, of course more and more treatments and supplements

I’m a firm believer in vitamins and minerals- I just don’t want to take toxic ones. I bought some vitamin C at a big box store that actually had propylene glycol on the label. Now I’m going to start growing my own herbs and I hope to get a garden going soon.

Unfortunately, they’re all toxic. If you actually start to do a little digging most if not, all companies are owned by a big Pharma and the ones that aren’t get there sources from pharmaceutical or China.

of course, no rational individual should have a problem with this. By now everyone should know that virtually everything is a scam and a lie.
