I like Robyn's health related articles, and I usually don't care much about private information, so I was really surprised how much I enjoyed this article. Very beautifully written, and moving. Thanks for sharing Robyn!

Tears reading this for your wonderful and honorable tribute to your dad (and blessed to still have him in your present reality). He really does sound amazing! And whenever he comes to see you in Florida, take him on a tour of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach (my alma mater and where I worked the first 10 years of my 30+ career in tech). I think he would love it! I loved your whole story, Robyn, and it doesn't surprise me a bit knowing how frugal you are, into whole plant foods, and being such a super responsible person yourself. The apple sure doesn't fall far from the tree!

Happy hint: caretaker should be caregiver in your story--I learned that from a friend while writing my dad's eulogy 22 months after my mom passed. My dad was my mom's sole caregiver the last years of her life (she died of Alzheimer's in 2017).

Much love to you and yours. I'm still looking forward to meeting you in person one day.
