Dear GreenSmoothieGirl: “I have a great immune system because I never get sick.” I’m Robyn Openshaw, the GreenSmoothieGirl online, and people say this to me all the time. So I want to talk about why we’ve gotten very confused, if we think that never getting sick means that we have a great immune system.
I've recently learned that our internal dialogue is important, especially for our mental & physical health.
To that end, when the pretty rare 'sickness' comes along, I don't say to others and myself, "I'm sick", but instead say, "I'm healing". We're always healing, some times more than others. My 2 sense.
It's an interesting conversation, thank you. I have an additional perspective to offer - that IF a person adopts a diet that does not irritate the body (uncooked, vegan, no grains, no legumes or starches, no spices, onion, garlic, or oil - closer to nature's true invitation), along with other healthful lifestyle habits, then extra mucous or other detox symptoms become a very rare/unnecessary phenomenon.
Subbing! Couldn't have said it better myself.

Thanks for that great article!
