Good advice Robin. It may be a good idea to eat varied diet anyway. I'm more concerned about GMO's, glyphosate and other impurities that are added to the food supply. I doubt that clean natural foods pose as many health risks as the tampering does to it. Hearing about salmonella in vegetables helps nothing either. One has to wonder how it gets there.
Bacteria has never been proven to cause disease. The body, like the planet, send bacteria to the sight that needs cleaning up. Baxter always has a job to do. It is not the demon here. If high bacteria count is found on veg/ meat, look at what the soil is like, what the animals or plants are fed with. Are the
plants being sprayed with excrement for example. The care of the animals should be the area of concern here. The high bacteria count is just a red flag, but not the real problem.
You are right in being concerned about the stuff degrading the soil, air, water, food, before and after preparation, the radiation it gets treated with when crossing a border ect. Grow and pick as close to home from a reputable organic farmer, as possible.
Thank you so much. Our educational system is based in the school of materialism. Trying to break free is a challenge. We think we are after the macro and micronutrients & flavour in food only. But what if it was more than that? I think what we want, is the life force. Making the locally grown freshly picked foods even more priceless.
I just read an article in the most recent Wise Traditions journal about this. Seem is comes down to . . . wait for it . . . gut health! If our microbiome is missing the microbes that handle the oxalates, we will have trouble with them. Fascinating.
If anyone is interested in reading it yourself, you can find it on the Weston A. Price website: THE GUT MICROBIOME, OXALATE INTOLERANCE AND YOUR KIDNEYS

Moderation....
Hello,
I remember learning about oxalates years ago from famous author, Dr Norman Walker (“Raw Vegetable Juices”). He healed many people using raw juices
He said oxalates become toxic when the foods containing them are heated and cooked.
🎯
Thank you. This is the second message that has come to me about oxalates in the last week or so, prompting me to revisit my concerns about them.
