“We Are All Involuntarily Involved in a Global War Against Our Very Souls”
An Incremental Ratcheting Up of Global State Control
The following is a talk given by author/activist Maajid Nawaz at the World Council for Health’s Better Way Conference on September 16th, in Vienna, Austria. Nawaz is a former “radical" Islamist leader who has since renounced Islamism and now campaigns for human rights.
My editor and research assistant Laurie created a transcript of this talk so she could share it with me. We found it so important that we wrote to Nawaz to request permission to publish this (edited for clarity) summary version for my audience.
Whether we like it or not, I believe that we are all involved, involuntarily, in a war against our very souls. And this war is being conducted globally.
I'm sorry to put it this way. I will try and give you some hope. But at the moment, it's important for you to hear.

An Incremental Ratcheting Up of State Control
Those on the other side of this war have far more power in the material sense, which they are using in an attempt to destroy everything that it means to be human.
Over the course of decades, we’ve seen an incremental policy which nudges the entire human population toward demanding more and more protection from demons that are being presented to us.
After WWII, I think the world realized that dropping nuclear bombs on each other may not necessarily be the best way forward. So we began witnessing instead a series of initiatives that were called wars, conducted by our own governments against topics they presented to us as ills in our own society.
The end result has been an incremental movement toward more and more centralized state control and authoritarianism.
1. The war on DRUGS: protecting society from CRIME
In Nancy Reagan’s announcement on behalf of her husband the president, the “war on drugs” was ostensibly a war to stamp out crime in our societies.
We were encouraged by government policy to rally around them and take certain measures, including dehumanizing and disproportionately imprisoning young black men.
That disastrous war on drugs also impacted South America, which was, in fact, the battleground of this war.
The real aim of this war was to increase authoritarianism and the state’s ability to interfere even in foreign countries, in the name of a domestic war.
2. The war on TERROR: protecting our WAY OF LIFE
This next incremental war is what involved me, against my will, in this conversation. (I’ll say more about that later.)
Just like the war on drugs, the people who conducted this war were in fact the people who began this war, and then they wanted us on board to help them finish what they had started by invading many countries around the world, including Afghanistan.
We were told we were in Iraq to stop terrorism. In hindsight, this was based on lies such as “weapons of mass destruction” we were told were in Iraq. And that bin Laden was in Afghanistan when he was caught in Pakistan.
3. The war on Covid: protecting our PHYSICAL LIVES
Next comes the war on Covid. Now, all of us are involved because we're seeking to stay alive, not just to protect our way of life from those nasty terrorists who wanted to destroy freedom and democracy, but to protect our very life itself.
So it's more visceral, which allows government once again to incrementally increase the temperature and further the authoritarian measures needed to keep you alive.
Of course, you saw Trudeau’s emergency legislation, which allowed him to freeze bank accounts. But this power grab didn't begin with Trudeau freezing the accounts of the truckers protesting in Canada.
I’m standing here as a witness that Muslim bank accounts were being frozen long before that, in the war on terror. (Including my own bank account. In the United States of America, HSBC froze my bank accounts so I couldn't operate, in the name of the “war on terror.”)
4. The war on CLIMATE CHANGE: protecting ALL LIFE
You may be wondering what could be more urgent than our lives. Well, here’s the answer:
We're going to die by 2030 unless we reduce carbon output to zero, even animals and trees; everything is going to die.
So people have to install smart meters, which tell the government how much power you're using, and exactly how you're using it.
And of course, we have to switch to electric cars, and everything electric, which can be switched off. It will be easy to switch off your power when you have emitted too much carbon.
Your currency will not be cash, but central bank digital currency (CBDC), which has already been announced by the U.K. Chancellor of the Exchequer, otherwise known as the finance minister, the third most important post in our government, as leader of the G7 (in other words, the leader of the most powerful countries in the world).
That means digital coupons. So if you are deemed to have used too much carbon, if you are not environmentally friendly enough, then not only can your electricity be switched off, but the very currency you use will no longer work.
When you try and buy a steak, you will be told that you had a hamburger for lunch, so you've met your quota today (otherwise known as the Chinese social credit system).
You Are Not Alone
I'm trying to describe this theater, so you can understand the context in which you operate, and that you are not alone.
I invite you to pinch the screen on your metaphoric mobile phone and zoom out a bit, so you can understand that the great work you are doing here is but one act in a larger theater:
There are climate scientist equivalents of you attempting to debunk this net zero hoax.
There are political operative equivalents of you in the war on terror, who have worked very hard for a long time, attempting to convince our own governments to pull out of the countries they've invaded. (And we can see some of the results of that, because we're no longer in Afghanistan).
There are the equivalents of you in the war on drugs, trying to convince governments that this policy is insane, and that the only thing it’s achieving is the disproportionate imprisonment of young black men, and that it's not reducing drug consumption.
The power the state has accrued through the war on drugs, and then through the war on terror (via the Patriot Act), was increased in the war on Covid (through emergency legislation). Now in the climate war (through the COP26 summit), with all of the states’ agreements to reduce our carbon emissions to zero by 2030, you can see they are gaining more and more power.
Once we understand that theater, we understand what's happening on a wider level and the role we play in making sure that we don't fall for this psychological abuse.
Why Me?
That's what I wanted to present. But why me? Why am I here speaking about this, in a conference full of scientists and medical professionals, given that I have no scientific, psychological, logical, biological qualifications, or any other form of -ology to my name?
Because the war on terror involuntarily dragged me into this situation.
At the age of 24, I was imprisoned in Egypt for attempting to overthrow the Egyptian government. Now, all you need to know about that episode in my life is that I was adopted by Amnesty International as a prisoner of conscience. No violence was even alleged in what we were jailed for.
The minute I saw the state telling me that if I don't take an injection that I will suffer societal repercussions including losing my job, I knew that war had been declared against the human soul. I didn't need a science degree to prove that the vaccine was going to harm anybody (which clearly by now we can see that it has). What I needed to enter this conversation was to share my story:
They dragged us through a torture dungeon in Egypt, where they electrocuted us on our teeth and our genitalia.
Then they took us into 3 1/2 months of solitary confinement.
Then they forcibly injected us. We did not have a choice.
My cellmate dropped dead in the cell next door to me. There was a riot that night in this Egyptian prison, because we believed that they killed him by injecting something into his body. We were told that he died of hepatitis B. That’s when I knew a war had been declared against the human soul.
These rights violations alerted me to the fact that this had been done before, in the war on terror. And before that, in the war on drugs.
That's why it was easy for me to enter this conversation from the perspective of political theory, of civil liberties. We must make sure that the human soul is protected!
There Is Hope!
In conclusion, if we recognize what is at stake, there is hope. Why?
Look at the state of the war on drugs: Very few people believe in it anymore. And that's because your equivalents on the drug reform side have been doing the work equivalent to what you are all doing, against that.
Likewise in the war on terror: there's a reason why very few people like Tony Blair and George Bush anymore. I've sat personally with both of them in that war on terror in an attempt to convince them of these views, one on one, face to face.
The narrative in the war on Covid is also no longer what it used to be, even a year ago. There’s a reason we can all gather here today in Austria without having to prove our vaccine status, which is that the people who gathered together to fight this have had some success.
We Are Winning, but Only If …
That's why I'm asking you to carry on, because you are one act in this theater, and it is having an impact. And your equivalents are doing the same on the climate policy agenda as well.
We've got to work backwards to recognize that this is a war, because the globalist political project wants us all to be one thing. With all our differences, our cultures and religions, faith and no faith, and nationalities and ethnicities, the globalists want us to be one, all over the planet.
I ask you to remember that the spiritual project is not for us all to be one, but for the oneness of being.
And therein lies the solution to what we need to do.
There will be attempts to divide us, to conquer us in this war. Those attempts will even occur among us here:
So-and-so is controlled opposition!
So-and-so thinks there's no virus. That person thinks there is a virus. Let's fight them on this point!
That's exactly what they want!
And a lot of us are going to be angry, because people have died en masse. This is probably the worst mass death that has occurred since World War II.
But just like in the terrorism debate, please remember that the Muslim community's worst enemy were those terrorists who were killing children in the name of that war.
We must remain peaceful! Because everything they want is for us to turn angry and violent, so they can say “See, this is why these people need to be controlled.”
Thank you.
About Maajid Nawaz
Maajid Nawaz is a British author and activist of Pakistani origin and a former leader of a "radical" Islamist group who spent four years in an Egyptian prison. The experience changed his mind, and he renounced the ideology of Islamism and founded a counter-extremism think tank. He has since met with several western heads of state, advocating for human rights at the highest levels. If you’d like to learn more about his extraordinary journey of conscience, you might enjoy this (piercingly insightful and highly controversial) Joe Rogan interview. And, please assume that some of the links I may share, compensate my small business.
Excellent synopsis of the world situation. I shared this w hundreds of people.
I've been on the world council for health web site. Too bad the CDC isn't such a model for human health. I only listen to them to stay up-to-date on their escalating insanity and medical fascist mind-set. The same principle holds true for the rest of the global criminally insane cabal.
True we are in a war for our lives, soul, bodies and evetything else to do with our existence. Good deeds are punished while wicked works are praised and rewarded. That's just the way it is. "The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted." (Psalm 12:8).
